My name is Sophie Heukemes and I am a passionate ceramics artist currently studying and working at Kunstakademie Karlsruhe.

The content of my work often appears in the form of symbols and metaphors. They show different facets of my experiences, thoughts, worries, fears and dreams and are often an attempt to materialize and understand my innermost being.

I want to play with mythological imagery and my own symbolism to create imaginary places somewhere between my own reality and that of the viewer.
